Mm. Castle Crashers music is stuck in my head. >_>; I might have, uh, leveled my one character up to lv.30 in just the last couple days. And unlocked about three others. Heh.
Can't be helped, though. It really is a perfect balance to building my website. After sitting and doing tedious and complicated computer/coding stuff for hours on end, I really enjoy going through and slaying countless cartoon enemies and button-mashing furiously. The game itself is also clever and surprisingly in-depth. Rock.
I did happily make some progress with the site today-- yesterday varied between "OMG DreamWeaver rocks!" and "DIE IN A FIRE, INFERNAL COMPUTING MACHINE!" with more of the latter as the evening went on, unfortunately. Today I went through and reworked things to be much simpler, relying more on the HTML I'm familiar with than the CSS that I'm much more shaky on, even when DW is doing much of the coding for me.
Unfortunately, this is resulting in some clunky code, and while it would be possible for me to get most of the site up and running the way I'm doing it now (copy/pasting the basic "index" code into everything else and then adding content) it's not very efficient and I worry that I'd have to take it apart as soon as I built it in order to make things run smoothly. So I think tomorrow I will start off by seeing if I can't get the basic code a little sleeker, before I start creating separate pages for something like 100+ images. (And I'm only uploading the best of my work from the last two years.)
However, there was one cool thing today: my Space Turtle buttons arrived! They're pretty cool looking-- a little more white around the edges than I expected from their template, but the quality is pretty nice and the price was good, so I will probably adjust the designs and order some more from them in the future, if these sell well.
And, finally, in one of the lulzier moments of the day, Beatrice was apparently investigating the bathroom and managed to take a dive into the toilet, getting her whole back half soaked, so she had to have a proper bath later on. Just confirming once again that cats are ridiculous creatures (and only get weirder when wet and alien-looking.)
