Progress

Little by little, progress is made.

Class was cancelled today, although unfortunately I didn't learn this until I got to school. Should really get in the habit of checking my IUPUI mail before class, but of course, whenever I do, there's nothing to check. Oh well. At least I didn't have to waste two hours this morning sitting through what would have been a pretty useless class.

Spent most of the afternoon on my watercolor. Masking fluid is amazing. I think it took me two hours to finish drawing and masking, and about half an hour to put on the first layer (ie, throw paint at it until things looked good). Hopefully I can get that done this weekend. We'll see. The ease of the background may catch up to me when we get into all the niggly little details. Like the five million tree branches.

Screen is... ugh. Hand-drawing all these stencils is a pain; my markers keep dying and the lines are always wobbly. I think I'm going to give up, do the last few stencils in Photoshop, and just pay the exorbitant prices so that I don't have to draw anything else.

Digital project is going to be the easiest thing ever, once I figure out just what I want to do. I have an idea, but haven't really been able to find the source info I need, and now I keep getting different ideas. I won't worry about it just yet. It really won't take any time to do once I get the images together, and it's not due for a good two weeks, one of which is spring break. I can always start storyboarding the next project and come back to this one later.

Also, managed to get the Okami soundtrack (all five discs!) today. uTorrent is my hero.

Now some much-needed rest and relaxation, and maybe some RP posts. Yes.
