Clockwork Cardinal

kayay actually suggested doing a cardinal shortly after I began the painting. So clearly there's some psychic vibes going around in the air lately.



This one was rather troublesome to get the arrangement just right, so I may take a break for a few days and work on another project (a book cover design I've been neglecting) before I do more of these. I do still want to do a red-winged blackbird though, and maybe an owl of some kind.
